The Whole Gang - Fall 2011

God speaks to each one of us about certain things and He depends on you, yes you, to finish the assignment He has given to you. So get out there and do what He has gifted you in, step out where He has shown you the opportunity.

My title “Momma Gwen” started at my current job/ministry as inside coordinator for international mission trips at Church of the King in Mandeville, Louisiana. I realized quickly that I am in the older third of the people working at COTK and the mission team members. The Momma Gwen role came naturally, or should I say from God. Growing up, I would have never imagined having 5 of my own kids, but my wonderful hubby, Tommy & I do indeed have 5 kids. No, we’re not Catholic or Mormon. We have a blast living life with these 5 and can’t imagine a journey without them! Now I am also “Momma Gwen” to hundreds of team members as they go out and reach the world! I am part of a writers group that meets weekly in Mandeville. Some are published writers and some pre-published – but we enjoy each others company and spur each other on to write, write, write! We are currently morphing this group into a Toastmaster’s group.  Speaking and writing fit together and we are looking forward to growing together in both areas!  Their pushing has encouraged me to step out and write!
